Welcome to the Sched site for the Northwest Mathematics Conference!

ALL WORKSHOPS ARE FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED - signing up in Sched does not guarantee you a spot in a session. However, planning your day in Sched really helps us anticipate any potential need to make room changes.

If you create a free account, you can plan and edit your schedule. You may wish to select more than one session in a timeslot as a backup, in case your first choice of session is full.

On the right side of the schedule you can filter by grade band. This will include the sessions which span more than one grade band. You may also wish to view the Schedule as Expanded.

“In my math course, I was given examples of how algebraic thinking was used by many Indigenous people, and how I can utilize those same aspects in thinking. I now can understand complex math more than I was capable of in high school, and I am able to give those examples of knowledge back to my family and community.” Ashley Bell (Northern Arapaho), student in Elementary Algebra.
In this session, participants will experience a small sample of the approach we use in our Algebra classes at Northwest Indian College, followed by a brief presentation about the journey that brought us to this point, and some prospects for the future.
