Welcome to the Sched site for the Northwest Mathematics Conference!

ALL WORKSHOPS ARE FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED - signing up in Sched does not guarantee you a spot in a session. However, planning your day in Sched really helps us anticipate any potential need to make room changes.

If you create a free account, you can plan and edit your schedule. You may wish to select more than one session in a timeslot as a backup, in case your first choice of session is full.

On the right side of the schedule you can filter by grade band. This will include the sessions which span more than one grade band. You may also wish to view the Schedule as Expanded.

Ever wonder how you can use Peter Liljedahl’s Building Thinking Classrooms (BTC) Practices in your secondary mathematics class daily? In this session, we will engage in a ‘curricular’ thinking classroom lesson from beginning to end, and then zoom out to look at how to plan a unit so that it involves opportunities for responsive teaching practices and allows for adaptability within individual lessons. This session welcomes both those familiar with BTC and those new to it and will offer space for sharing about various BTC implementation experiences. Come join the conversation about implementing BTC practices in secondary mathematics courses!
