What’s in a Name? Bringing mathematical language into focus

Language can empower learners and instill a sense of freedom to explore mathematics. In this session we will explore different routines and teacher moves to promote student understanding of mathematical language. Teachers will walk away with practical tools to help students develop confidence in using that language to promote a deeper understanding of mathematics.
