Welcome to the Sched site for the Northwest Mathematics Conference!

ALL WORKSHOPS ARE FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED - signing up in Sched does not guarantee you a spot in a session. However, planning your day in Sched really helps us anticipate any potential need to make room changes.

If you create a free account, you can plan and edit your schedule. You may wish to select more than one session in a timeslot as a backup, in case your first choice of session is full.

On the right side of the schedule you can filter by grade band. This will include the sessions which span more than one grade band. You may also wish to view the Schedule as Expanded.
Thursday October 24, 2024 2:30pm - 4:30pm PDT
In this workshop, participants will learn about the free virtual manipulatives available on Polypad, part of Desmos Classroom. Manipulatives can transform how students make meaning of important ideas by making abstract relationships visible, by teaching creativity and problem-solving, and by allowing students to explore and discover. Participants will learn about using Polypad virtual manipulatives including how to make free teacher and student accounts, how to get started exploring Polypad, how to create custom lessons and activities, how to view students work on Polypad in real-time, and so much more.
