About me
Mike Gelbart is Principal and Math Teacher at VISST, a new STEM-oriented independent school which he co-founded. Before starting VISST, Mike was an Associate Professor of Teaching at the UBC Department of Computer Science, where he taught a range of courses from first-year to graduate level. Mike co-created the UBC Master of Data Science program where he served as Co-Director from 2018 to 2021 and is currently an Adjunct Professor at UBC. Previously, Mike received his undergraduate degree in physics from Princeton University and a PhD in machine learning from Harvard University.
