2024 Northwest Mathematics Conference

ALL WORKSHOPS ARE FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED in person - signing up in Sched does not guarantee you a spot in a session. However, planning your day in Sched really helps us anticipate any potential need to make room changes.

If you create a free account, you can plan and edit your schedule. You may wish to select more than one session in a timeslot as a backup, in case your first choice of session is full.

On the right side of the schedule you can filter by grade band. This will include the sessions which span more than one grade band. You may also wish to view the Schedule as Expanded.

About me

Janice Novakowski has taught preschool, kindergarten and primary classes and is currently district teacher consultant in the Richmond School District and an Adjunct Professor at UBC. She facilitates the BC Reggio-Inspired Mathematics Project and is part of the BC Numeracy Network and the Indigenous Mathematics Education Network. Janice's graduate studies have focused on problem solving and problem posing in mathematics with young children.
